Based on the China Agricultural Outlook report 2024, this study provides a comprehensive analysis of China’s agricultural sector, presenting key trends from 2023 and offering detailed projections for grain, meat, and dairy production through 2033. It highlights the challenges and opportunities facing China’s agriculture, such as climate change, demographic shifts, and geopolitical tensions, and explores their implications for food security, trade, and rural development.
The study also compares the Outlook report with forecasts by USDA and FAO, identifying discrepancies and highlighting potential issues with the accuracy of some projections.
