Benny Haerlin

Benny Hearlin heads the Berlin Office of the Foundation on Future Farming, a foundation which funds various work on sustainable agriculture, including breeders of organic seeds and their network activities. At the Berlin Office, Benny innovated the educational format “Global Fields” and has led the initiative “Save Our Seeds” for many years. 

Benny has worked on the topic of genetically modified crops for decades, starting when serving as Member of the European Parliament for the German Greens party. His engagement started as a Member to the European Parliament for the German Greens Party and as head of the Greenpeace Berlin Office, where he coordinated the GMO campaign for Greenpeace International. He has written extensively on the topic and curated publications, organises international conferences and is member of the International Commission on the Future of Food.
