ZHOU Meiliang 周美亮
Since 2017, Zhou Meiliang has been a professor at the Institute of Crop Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Meiliang is the principal investigator for several major research projects, including the EU Horizon 2020 project ECOBREED.
His research expertise focuses on the utilization of buckwheat germplasm resources, particularly the use of wild relatives to enhance resistance and nutrient profiles in cultivated buckwheat. Meiliang holds a PhD in Plant Cell Physiology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular genetics and development at Leiden University.
He has published extensively and has served on committees for the Global Genome Biodiversity Network and the 15th International Buckwheat Research Association.
