On 18 September 2025, Rudolf Vögel from VERN e.V., a member of the Sino-German Agrobiodiversity Network, presented the results of a four-year project entitled “Chances for the Conservation and Re-cultivation of Central European Club Wheat (Binkel) through Nutritional and Genetic Differentiation from Other Wheat Species (BiDifferent).”
The project was funded by the European Cooperative Programme for Plant Genetic Resources (ECPGR) and carried out in collaboration with colleagues from the Julius Kühn Institute (JKI) and demonstration farms at several sites across Europe.
