31 October 2025, Handan, Hebei Province – DCZ expert Ahmatjan Rouzi attended the 2nd International Organic Industry Marketing Conference (IOIMC) in Handan, Hebei Province, where he delivered an opening speech and keynote presentation on Germany’s organic agriculture sector.
The conference was jointly organized by IFOAM–Organics Asia and the Hebei Provincial Organic Industry Development Association, and sponsored by Qimei Industrial Group, an organic farm and food enterprise based in Hebei. Bringing together representatives from China and around the world, the event focused on promoting best practices, standards, and trade opportunities in the global organic industry.
In his presentation, Ahmatjan Rouzi introduced the Sino-German Agricultural Centre and its work on organic agriculture, outlined the current status of Germany’s organic sector, and explained key aspects of labeling and certification standards. He also presented Germany’s Organic Strategy 2030 and discussed opportunities for Sino-German cooperation in the field.
Speakers from China and other regions—including New Zealand, Central Asia, Serbia, India, Turkey, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, and Africa—shared their countries’ progress and challenges in developing organic agriculture. Common issues discussed included certification barriers in major export markets, limited consumer awareness, and the need for stronger government support.
The conference was followed by a visit of Qimei’s organic farms and processing facilities in Yongnian County, Handan. The company has grown into an integrated organic base covering 8,500 mu (approx. 570 hectares) with an annual output of 37,000 tons. Qimei’s products are certified organic not only in China but also by the EU, United States, Canada, and Japan. During the field visit, delegates exchanged ideas and explored future collaboration to strengthen organic agriculture both in China and internationally.
