The Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences (CAMS) – 中国气象科学研究院, founded in 1956, is a research unit under the China Meteorological Administration. CAMS focuses on both basic and applied meteorological research and technology development. Its research areas include meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation, as well as climate change response. The institute has 323 employees.
Recent agriculture-related NSF research projects (2023) include studies on the impact of high temperatures and drought on wheat and water efficiency in the intercropping of maize and peanuts.
