Established in 1995, the College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering at China Agricultural University consists of the Department of Food Science and Engineering, the Department of Food Biotechnology, the Department of Nutrition and Food Safety, and the Department of Viticulture and Enology.
The college is home to six research centers: the National Engineering Research Center of Fruit and Vegetable Processing, the Supervision and Testing Center for Quality of Agricultural Produce of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), the Inspection and Testing Center for Safety of Genetically Modified Foods of MARA, the Functional Dairy Products Key Laboratory of MARA, the Viticulture and Enology Research Center of MARA, and the Sino-Japan Agricultural Products Processing Research Center.
The college building spans 14,000 square meters and houses faculty offices, laboratories, a 500-seat auditorium, and a reference library. The college has 106 staff members, including 35 professors and 47 associate professors.
