South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute (SCSFRI)

Founded in 1953, the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute (SCSFRI) of CAFS – 中国水产科学研究院南海水产研究所 is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It focuses on basic and applied research, high and new technology, and significant applied technology related to tropical and subtropical fisheries in the South China Sea. There 310 employees at SCSFRI. The institute comprises several research centers and divisions, including:
