Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute (YSFRI)

The Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute (YSFRI) of CAFS – 黄海水产研究所 in Qingdao is China’s oldest multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to marine fisheries. Established in 1947 and relocated to Qingdao in 1949, the institute features 10 research divisions and 3 experimental bases. It operates 2 research vessels, Beidou and Huanghaixing, equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities. YSFRI employs 419 staff members, including 157 senior scientists.
