College of Architecture and Urban-Rural Planning

Founded in 2014, the College of Architecture and Urban-Rural Planning at Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) is home to 51 faculty members. The college is organized into three departments: the Department of Architecture, the Department of Urban and Rural Planning, and the Department of Construction Management, along with an Experimental Teaching Center. Its academic and research infrastructure is further supported by three specialized research centers: the Research Center of Green Technology for Village Building, the Research Center of Southwest Characteristic Village Planning, and the Research Center of Integrated Management of Village Construction. In addition, the Urban Renewal and Rural Revitalization Design Research Center serves as a social service organization.

The Experimental Teaching Center is equipped with facilities for surveying and mapping, virtual simulation, model making, and engineering software. It houses valuable instruments, including an engineering big data analysis cloud platform, supporting both teaching and research activities.

The college has played a significant role in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization programs, completing more than 40 related projects. It has undertaken and contributed to scientific and technological poverty alleviation initiatives led by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The college has also been actively involved in creating rural revitalization plans, designing modern agricultural parks at various levels, and supporting the protection and sustainable utilization of traditional villages.
