The College of Grass Science and Technology at Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) was established in January 2021. It consists of three departments: Grass Breeding and Cultivation, Grassland Resources and Ecology, and Turfgrass Science and Engineering. The college has 41 teaching and research personnel contributing to its academic and research development.
The college hosts several key scientific research platforms, including the National Forestry and Grassland Southwest Forest and Grassland Ecological Fire Prevention Engineering Technology Research Center, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration Grass Variety Regional Experimental Station, the Sichuan Forestry and Grassland College, the Sichuan Grassland Engineering Center, and the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Universities.
It has established collaborative relations with over 20 foreign universities and research institutions, including Purdue University, University of Utah, Virginia Tech, Massey University, Lincoln University, Technical University of Munich, Ghent University, Wageningen University, and Hokkaido University.
