Established in 1993, the College of Landscape Architecture at Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) has over 40 professors and associate professors. The college is organized into the Department of Landscape Architecture, the Department of Environmental Design, a comprehensive laboratory, and a Research Center for Healthy Habitat and Landscape Diversity.
It offers three undergraduate majors: Landscape Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design. The college also provides doctoral degree programs in Landscape Architecture and second-level doctoral programs in Landscape Plants and Ornamental Horticulture. With over 2,000 students currently enrolled, the college is committed to nurturing highly skilled professionals in the field.
Focusing on key national strategies such as park cities, national parks, and rural revitalization, the college integrates talent training, scientific research, technical demonstrations, and consulting services. Its research areas include the excavation and utilization of garden plant resources with southwestern characteristics, national park system development and landscape planning, urban and rural landscape forest rehabilitation, and technological innovations aimed at carbon neutrality.
