College of Water Conservancy

The College of Water Conservancy and Civil Engineering at South China Agricultural University (SCAU) was established in April 2005. It currently has 83 full-time staff members and offers three undergraduate majors: Civil Engineering, Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering, and Architecture. The Civil Engineering major includes four specialized modules: civil engineering, engineering management, road and bridge engineering, and underground engineering. The college is home to 1,407 undergraduates and 109 full-time postgraduates.

Since 2015, the college has been recognized with several key designations, including the Guangdong Province Agricultural Soil and Water Information UAV Collection and Remote Sensing Engineering Technology Center, the Guangzhou Wisdom Water Key Laboratory, the Guangdong Province Small-Scale Water Conservancy Project Quality Inspection Research Center, and the Guangdong Province Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Water Conservancy and Civil Engineering.

Its comprehensive laboratory facilities include the building materials laboratory, mechanics laboratory, hydraulics laboratory, geotechnics laboratory, computer-aided laboratories, virtual simulation laboratories, hydraulic modeling laboratory, building physics laboratory, structural laboratory, and others.
