The Hunan Agricultural Information and Engineering Research Institute at the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (HUNAAS) employs 42 people. The institute features innovation platforms such as the National Agricultural Science Data Center in Hunan Province, and two key innovation teams focusing on digital agriculture and information services, as well as agricultural spectrum information perception and identification.
The institute primarily engages in research and applications related to agriculture, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence, and other information technologies. Its key areas of work include southern facilities agriculture, agricultural information monitoring and early warning, agricultural audio and video production and dissemination, and agricultural macro-policy research and consulting services.
