The Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GAAS) has several departments, including the Agricultural Economics Research Office, Agricultural Informatization Research Office, Engineering Consulting Research Center, and the “Cold and Arid Agricultural Science” Editorial Department. The institute currently employs 58 staff members.
Since its establishment, the Institute has gradually improved its organization in the fields of agricultural economic research, agricultural science and technology information utilization, literature information services, scientific and technological journal editing and publishing, network information, and agricultural engineering project consulting.
The Engineering Consulting Research Center was established in 2001. Its business covers agriculture, forestry, commercial grain, ecological construction, and environmental engineering. The center primarily provides planning consulting services related to regional agricultural development, modern agricultural parks, agricultural industrial development, and technical services such as project proposals, feasibility studies, funding applications, evaluation, and review. Cold and Arid Agricultural Science is a comprehensive agricultural science and technology journal published both domestically and internationally.
