The Department of Animal Production and Environmental Engineering at Zhejiang University focuses on research areas including the relationship between animal nutrition and the environment, ecological animal production and management (with an emphasis on HACCP systems and livestock waste utilization), and animal breeding and molecular breeding. Its molecular breeding research includes polymorphic DNA analysis of broilers and pigs in Zhejiang Province. The department is supported by a team of 10 faculty and staff members.
