The Institute of Modern Agricultural Development of Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences was established in 2005. It consists of the Rural Economy and Regional Development Research Office, Agricultural Policy Research Office, Agricultural Resources and Environment Research Office, Agricultural Product Processing Research Office, New Rural Construction Research Office, and Agricultural Application of Nuclear Technology Research Office. The institute has 41 employees.
Its main responsibilities include building research teams in storage and processing of agricultural products, research and utilization of bee resources, and agricultural policy research. The institute also forms close cooperation with agricultural enterprises, agricultural parks, and production bases to provide technical support and consulting services for the development of Guizhou’s agricultural industry.
