Institute of Subtropical Crops (Academy of Forestry of South Zhejiang)

The Institute of Subtropical Crops at Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ZAAS) was founded in 1962 and focuses on the research and development of economic plant resources in tropical and subtropical regions of southern China. The institute is dedicated to the introduction and domestication of tropical and subtropical crops, resource utilization, and grain crop research, providing scientific support and seedlings for the province. The institute is home to 82 staff members, and its research priorities include flowers, subtropical crop germplasm development and utilization, entomogenous fungi, tangerine, bayberry, and mangrove, among others.
