The Yangping Cattle Breeding Farm at the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS) was founded in 1979, covering a total area of more than 2,000 acres. It was designated as a “National Key Breeding Livestock and Poultry Farm” by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA). Yangping Farm is primarily responsible for the protection and utilization of Simmental cattle breed resources as part of the national key breeding livestock and poultry farms. The farm focuses on cattle breeding technology research, training, and promotion demonstrations, providing seed source guarantees for cattle hybrid improvement. Additionally, it plays a key role in the development and promotion of new ruminant forage varieties, conducting scientific research and demonstrations.
