The Zhangye Water-saving Agricultural Experiment Station of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GAAS) is located 9 kilometers south of Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, along the Zhangda Highway. It serves as a comprehensive agricultural scientific research and innovation base within the oasis irrigation area of the Hexi Corridor. The experimental station spans a total of 6,456 mu of land, including 4,244 mu of arable land dedicated to scientific research and production, with 1,019 mu designated as a core experimental area and 2,600 mu used for achievement transformation, demonstration, and promotion.
The experimental station employs 76 staff members and is divided into four main units responsible for scientific research, demonstration, and achievement transformation: the Forestry and Fruit Center, the Facility Agriculture Center, the Storage and Preservation Center, and the Characteristic Agriculture Center.
