The Agricultural Products Processing Research Institute of the Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JXAAS) was founded in 1999. The institute mainly focuses on research related to the processing, storage, comprehensive utilization, and equipment of agricultural products, as well as pilot product development, technical services, and technology transfer. The institute has 33 employees.
The institute operates three research laboratories: Grain and Oil Processing, Storage and Equipment Research Laboratory, Fruit and Vegetable Processing and Storage Research Laboratory, and Livestock and Poultry Processing Research Laboratory.
In addition, the institute is affiliated with the following platforms:
- National Peanut Processing Technology R&D Sub-Center
- MARA Grain Drying and Storage Technology Integration Research Base (under construction)
- Jiangxi Provincial Association for Science and Technology high-level scientific and technological innovation think-tank research bases
- Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences key laboratories of agricultural products processing
