The Ningde Campus of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences was established in 2020. It is based on the Ningde Institute of Agricultural Science and the Biotechnology Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The campus aims to create a regional base for agricultural science and technology innovation, demonstration, and promotion, acting as an incubator for new achievements, technologies, and modes, as well as a regional platform for scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges between the academy and the city.
The Ningde Campus is home to six research centers: the Biotechnology Research Center, Horticultural Crops Research Center, Tea Industry Research Center, Livestock and Poultry Industry Research Center, Digital Agriculture Research Center, and Soil Cultivation and Fertilizer Resources Research Center. The campus focuses on the research, application, and transformation of horticultural crop variety (seedling) improvement and fast breeding, efficient cultivation, and processing technology innovation of tea, prevention and control of livestock, poultry (aquatic) disease, healthy breeding, and smart agriculture.
