The Fujian Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences Putian Campus was established in 2019. The campus is supported by the construction of the Putian Institute of Agricultural Sciences, which comprises four research centers: the Horticultural Crops Research Center, Livestock and Poultry Research Center, Eco-agriculture Research Center, and Digital Agriculture Research Center. The campus focuses on the regional characteristics of Putian, such as the “four famous fruits”, vegetables, edible fungi, and promoting the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases through healthy breeding. Additionally, it works on the agricultural pollution prevention in the Mulan River Basin, surface pollution control, green farming, and the application of modern agricultural technologies like “Internet +” and smart agriculture.
