The Quanzhou Campus of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences was established in 2024. It is based on the Quanzhou Institute of Agricultural Sciences and the Rice Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The campus has five research centers: the Rice Research Center, the Dry Farming Research Center, the Vegetable and Fruit Research Center, the Livestock and Poultry Agricultural Research Center, and the Digital Agriculture Research Center.
The Quanzhou Campus focuses on the region’s characteristic industries, including rice, potato, oilseed, corn, longan, mango, lemon, tomato, lucerne, meat pigeon, and Dehua black chicken. Research efforts include genetic breeding, molecular biology, cultivation physiology, and the development of high-efficiency cultivation technologies. The campus also conducts studies on livestock and poultry disease prevention, agricultural and rural information technology, and related product research and development.
