The Fruit Tree Research Institute of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CQAAS) is primarily focused on fruit tree seed innovation, green and efficient planting, and the development of intelligent fruit industry technologies. It conducts core technology research, demonstration, and promotion.
The institute has established innovation teams specializing in citrus, plum, pepper, lemon, and specialty fruit trees. It employs 45 people and manages 12 scientific research platforms, including the Jiangjin Agricultural Environment and Cultivated Land Conservation Scientific Experiment Station of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Jiangjin Citrus Comprehensive Experiment Station of the National Citrus Industry Technology System, the Chongqing Pear Comprehensive Experiment Station of the National Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System, and the Chongqing Citrus New Variety Regional Trial Base.
