The Institute for Agricultural Resources and Environment of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CQAAS) focuses on long-term monitoring of farmland ecosystems, including water, soil, and climate. The institute conducts research on agricultural waste resource utilization, soil improvement, comprehensive prevention and control of agricultural surface pollution, green prevention and control of major crop diseases and pests, and the ecological recycling of agriculture. It also engages in demonstration and promotion activities.
The institute comprises innovation teams specializing in agricultural resource utilization, environmental protection, soil fertility, and arable land conservation. It is home to an agricultural environment laboratory and serves as a key national monitoring point for surface pollution, providing reference data for the National Agro-environmental Data Center in Chongqing.
The institute has 24 employees.
