The Institute of Agricultural Engineering of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CQAAS) was established in 2007. The institute has innovation teams focused on factory farming, rural habitat, digital rural engineering, farmland water conservancy engineering, and natural enemies and insects engineering.
The institute operates 10 scientific and technological innovation platforms, including the Key Laboratory of Southwest Mountain Agricultural Technology of MARA, the Key Laboratory of Chongqing Municipality for Resourceful Utilization of Agricultural Wastes Technology and Equipment Research and Development. Additionally, it manages 3 postgraduate practice and education bases, 1 enterprise engineering and technology research center, 2 co-innovation centers, 2 achievement incubation platforms, and 2 experimental bases.
The institute has a team of experts focused on agricultural engineering research, planning, consulting design, and the transformation of agricultural engineering technology.
The institute employs 39 staff members.
