The Institute of Agricultural Quality and Safety and Standards of Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JXAAS) was founded in 1985. It was one of the first batch of nine testing organizations established in the country. The institute focuses on the quality and safety of agricultural products, including testing and supervision, risk assessment, nutritional assessment, testing technology, and process control technology. There are 72 researchers working at the institute.
The institute has five research departments: Inspection and Testing System, Risk Assessment and Early Warning of Agricultural Product Quality and Safety, Nutritional Functional Evaluation of Agricultural Products, Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Process Control and Technological System, and Agricultural Product Quality Standard and Testing Technology.
