The Institute of Digital Agriculture of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FAAS) was established in 2011 and is affiliated with the Science and Technology Cadre Training Center of FAAS. The institute currently employs 31 people and is organized into 3 research laboratories: Agricultural Remote Sensing, Agricultural Artificial Intelligence and Digital Agricultural Production. Additionally, it has 2 research centers: the Digital Agricultural Innovation Center and the Digital Rural Research Center.
The institute also operates several scientific research and service platforms, including the Fujian Provincial Facility Agriculture Master Control Center, Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Specialist Service System, Fujian Provincial Rural Science and Technology Information Resource Sharing and Service, Fujian Provincial Rural Practical Technology Remote Training, Fujian Provincial Sannong Science and Technology Service Call Center, and the China-Israel Demonstration Farm.
The Institute is primarily focused on applied basic research, applied technology development, product demonstration, and information technology services in the field of agricultural information technology. Its research centers on addressing key and common technical challenges in the national and provincial agricultural sectors, with a focus on promoting the development of intelligent agriculture. The institute conducts applied research, technological innovation, and the creation of products in digital agricultural technology.
