The Vegetable and Flower Research Institute of Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JXAAS) was founded in 1994. The research field focuses on vegetable and flower germplasm resources, germplasm identification, germplasm creation, new variety selection and breeding, green and efficient cultivation technology integration and innovation, as well as molecular biotechnology research. The institute has 40 employees.
The research departments include eggplant and fruit vegetables, melon and legume vegetables, as well as asparagus and flowers.
