As part of ongoing efforts to promote sustainable agricultural development, this study analyzes China’s progress in agro-ecological compensation and environment-friendly technologies since the conclusion of the China-EU Policy Dialogue Support Facility (PDSF).
The study examines five dimensions of policy evolution: planning frameworks, project implementation, case studies, challenges, and policy solutions. Using Shiyan in Hubei Province as a case study, the research explores how European experience can inform locally adapted compensation mechanisms in China, without compromising food security.
