The Turfan Experimental Station of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences employs 40 staff members, including 23 senior researchers, and is dedicated to research and innovation in viticulture. Its four research teams focus on
- grape germplasm evaluation and utilization
- green production technologies for local industries
- crop heat-resistance mechanisms
- value-added processing
Since 2015, the station has released four grape varieties, registered one additional crop variety, obtained 10 national invention patents.
