The College of Economics and Management (CEM) at Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) is one of the earliest institutions in China dedicated to agricultural economics and management. Its origins can be traced back to the Agricultural Economics Departments of both the University of Nanking and the National Central University.
CEM currently has 925 undergraduate students, 1,015 postgraduate students, and more than 20 international students, including 95 PhD candidates. Over 60 faculty members have had opportunities to conduct research abroad as visiting scholars or degree pursuers, strengthening the college’s global engagement.
The college has established strong research collaborations with over 10 international organizations, including the World Bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the Economic Research Service of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Ford Foundation. It also maintains academic partnerships with globally renowned universities, including the University of California, Davis; Cornell University; Iowa State University; Purdue University; the University of Göttingen; the University of Giessen; Kyoto University; Wageningen University; the University of Sydney; Universidade de São Paulo; and Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS Campus Saúde). The college has also developed academic collaborations with National Taiwan University and National Chung Hsing University, further strengthening its regional and international academic influence.
